Traditional Thai Bodywork
An ancient holistic therapy with profound effects on our entire being
When someone “does yoga for you.”
Combining rhythmic acupressure, deep tissue work, and passive stretching, Thai Bodywork seeks to relieve excessive stress and strain on all body systems while restoring vitality. It is an excellent modality for restoring joint mobility, soft tissue health, and whole body alignment. You can expect to walk out feeling refreshed and reset - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually! You need not be a yogi to experience its many benefits!
Benefits of Thai Bodywork
Thai Bodywork is a wonderful modality for most people. It can be used either as a whole body session or to hone in on specific issues. When used as a whole body session it improves the balance of the 4 elements within us: earth, water, fire & wind. It removes stagnation and blockages to improve the flow of the gross & subtle winds through the Sen, or energy pathways, which means that it can improve circulation of blood and lymph while also balancing the nervous system. It is well known to help increase flexibility and range of motion through passive stretching and joint mobilization while improving tissue health through compression and point work.
Thai Bodywork as practiced by our highly qualified and experienced practitioners can also be used to treat specific problems both physically and emotionally. We most often help our clients with physical issues like tight hips and shoulders, pain in the back, neck or knees, jaw tension, postural imbalance, and much more. Because emotions are experienced and expressed in our bodies, we can also use this modality to help balance them. Some people like to verbally process the emotional piece with us, and others prefer to quietly witness what comes up. We are happy to meet you right where you are. Feel free to book a phone consultation or email us to see if we can help you.
If you can remember the feeling of revitalization and relaxation you had after a great yoga class, vacation or retreat, that is akin to the feeling that Traditional Thai Bodywork offers the receiver.

“All I can say is wow. Thai Bodywork was so useful for relieving tension in my hip in a way that no other type of bodywork has been able to. The practitioners at BMC are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They check in to make sure the pressure is just the way you like and I find the techniques to be very healing. I will absolutely be going back and highly recommend that anyone try Thai Bodywork.”
