Therapeutic Yoga + Breathwork - Workshop Series

Workshop 1 - Decoding Low Back Problems

Tuesday, Sept. 12th at 6:15pm (please arrive 5-10 min early)

For those with chronic or recurring gripe in the lower back. We’ll explore the interconnected roots of back pain: somatic, structural, and postural, while offering tips and solutions for self-care that you can integrate into your daily life to reduce or eliminate low back discomfort.

Workshop 2 - Dynamic Regulation - Respiratory Diaphragm & Pelvic Floor

Tuesday, Sept. 19th at 6:15pm (please arrive 5-10 min early)

For those who habitually notice restrictions in their breathing pattern and/or pelvic floor which can show up as anxious thought patterns, excessive tension, energetic imbalances, and even physiological issues such as body pain, menstrual issues, digestive problems and more. The diaphragm and pelvic floor correspond to the root, sacral and solar plexus chakras. Open to people of all genders. We’ll map these core structures, understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy functioning, and practice simple yet effective exercises to ensure that they are working to support our overall health.

Workshop 3 - Unlocking the Hips

Friday, Oct. 13th at 6:15pm (please arrive 5-10 min early)

“My hips won’t open no matter how many pigeon poses I do!” is a version of what I hear in my Rolfing office on a regular basis. That’s because there is a lot more to hip mobility than passive external rotation. In this workshop, we’ll look at and improve the myofasial relationships between the hips, thighs, feet, etc. We’ll also invite some curiosity around the somatic aspects (thoughts, beliefs, emotions, experiences stored in the body) that lead to hips either staying tight or finally opening!

Workshop 4 - Unlocking the Shoulders

Friday, Oct. 20th at 6:15pm (please arrive 5-10 min early)

When it comes to tight shoulders or postural issues, much of the problem lies in how little we use our full range of motion in modern life. In this workshop we’ll incorporate myofascial stretches, mobility exercises, and breathwork to unravel the layers of tight shoulders and postural imbalance.
