Kathleen Bostleman

Private Yoga Instructor & Massage Therapist

Offering Custom Massage Therapy and Private Yoga Sessions for 1-2 clients at a time.

Kathleen is a lifelong mover, both by trade and passion, with a specialized focus on therapeutic massage and movement practices. She offers customized massages that incorporate myofascial release, stretching, and other techniques designed to facilitate recovery, enhance mobility, and relieve chronic tension. Kathleen’s bodywork is especially beneficial for conditions such as persistent back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle strains, joint stiffness, spinal conditions, and chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia or arthritis. She works holistically to address the root causes of discomfort, helping alleviate symptoms of overuse, physical injury, and long-term pain. She supports clients managing chronic conditions such as autoimmune disorders and pain syndromes by tailoring her techniques to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and manage pain.

Kathleen is also a registered yoga instructor specializing in working with individuals with an interest in building a sustainable and personalized movement practice. She integrates her multifaceted movement background with restorative techniques and self-massage education to help clients achieve improved mobility, strength, and relaxation. Kathleen has worked with diverse populations, from beginners in their 60s and 70s to professional dancers, customizing each session to meet individual needs. Her sessions are designed to improve body awareness, empowering clients to integrate mindful movement and self-care into their daily lives.

Kathleen’s journey in movement began as a professional dancer in San Francisco and New York, and she later completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training at YogaWorks in Brooklyn. She studied Massage Therapy at Orion Institute and holds a BFA in Ballet from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Through her work, Kathleen aims to create spaces where individuals can find relief from pain, manage chronic conditions, receive support during injury recovery, and develop a deeper understanding of their bodies. She believes that observing sensation and tuning into one’s body is the first step toward healing and lasting well-being.
